9. Commissioning
a) Inserting Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries in the Transmitter
• Check the on/off switch (5) of the transmitter at the top and place it in the
„OFF“ position.
• If you have not done so yet, attach the separately enclosed telescopic aerial
(1) to the transmitter. There is an opening at the top of the transmitter into
which the telescopic aerial must be screwed.
• Open the battery/rechargeable battery compartment (18) at the bottom of the
transmitter. For this, first remove the safety screw of the battery/rechargeable
battery compartment lid.
• Then insert either 6 full batteries or 6 fully charged NiMH batteries in the
battery/rechargeable battery compartment of the transmitter.
Please observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-); see label in the battery/
rechargeable battery compartment or on the batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Close the battery/rechargeable battery compartment and turn in the safety
screw removed at the beginning again.
b) Inserting Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries in the Vehicle
• Check the on/off switch of the vehicle at the bottom and place it in the
„OFF“ position.
• Open the battery/rechargeable battery compartment at the bottom of the
vehicle. For this, first remove the safety screw of the battery/rechargeable
battery compartment lid.
Push the tab of the locking clip towards the battery/rechargeable battery
lid to fold it up and take it off.
• The battery/rechargeable battery compartment of the vehicle holds a
battery/rechargeable battery holder for 6 AA/Mignon cells at first
commissioning. If you want to use it (instead of the enclosed NiMH
driving battery), take it out and insert 6 charged batteries or 6 fully
charged NiMH rechargeable batteries. Observe correct polarity (plus/+
and minus/-); see label in the battery/rechargeable battery holder.
Alternatively, use the enclosed NiMH driving battery; the battery/
rechargeable battery holder must be taken from the vehicle. It is not
needed.
