Troubleshooting
Even though the model and the remote control system were built according to the state of the art, there may still
be malfunctions or errors. For this reason, we would like to give you some information on how to deal with
possible problems. Also observe the enclosed operating instructions for the remote control system.
The model doesn’t respond or does not respond properly
• Proceed as described in chapter 10. d) for commissioning.
• Is the vehicle drive battery or are the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter discharged? Exchange
the batteries/rechargeable batteries of the transmitter or recharge the batteries.
• Is the drive battery connected correctly in the vehicle? Are the batteries/rechargeable batteries inserted
correctly (polarity)?
• Is the vehicle too far away from the transmitter?
• Is the telescopic aerial correctly screwed to the transmitter and pulled out to its full length? When the aerial is
too short, the range will be much decreased.
• Never point the telescope aerial directly onto the vehicle. This reduces the range extremely.
• Check or clean the drive (e.g. hairs).
The vehicle slows down or the steering shows only slight or no reaction; the range between transmitter
and vehicle is very short
• The batteries/rechargeable batteries in the vehicle are weak or empty.
• Check the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter.
The vehicle doesn’t drive in a straight line correctly
• Adjust the straight running function at the bottom of the vehicle using the two small white levers between the
tyres (separately for front and rear wheels).
