• If the batteries (or rechargeable batteries) in the transmitter are weak, the transmission range
is reduced. If the drive battery becomes weak, the vehicle gets slower or it no longer reacts
correctly to the transmitter control commands.
In this case, stop the vehicle operation immediately. Then replace the batteries/rechargeable
batteries of the transmitter with new ones or recharge the rechargeable batteries of the ve-
hicle or the transmitter.
• Both the motor and the drive, as well as the vehicle speed control and drive battery, get hot
during operation. Wait for at least 5 - 10 minutes until all parts have cooled down sufficiently
before replacing or recharging the batteries.
Do not touch the motor, the speed control and the drive battery until they have cooled down.
There is a risk of burns.
• Check the entire vehicle regularly for damages. If you detect any damage, do not operate the
vehicle any longer.
Notes on Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; there is a risk that they could be
swallowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately!
• Normal/rechargeable batteries may not be short-circuited, dismantled or thrown into fire.
There is a risk of explosion!
• Leaking or damaged normal/rechargeable batteries in contact with the skin can cause acid
burns; therefore, use suitable safety gloves.
Liquids leaking from normal/rechargeable batteries are chemically very aggressive. Objects
or surfaces that come in contact with this liquid may get considerably damaged. Therefore,
store normal/rechargeable batteries in a suitable place.
• Normal (non-rechargeable) batteries may not be recharged. There is a risk of fire and ex
-
plosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose; use suitable
battery chargers.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the normal/rechargeable batteries or when
connecting a drive battery (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
• If the product is not to be used for a while (e.g. during storage), remove the batteries (or re
-
chargeable batteries) inserted in the transmitter to avoid damage caused by leaking normal/
rechargeable batteries. Disconnect the drive battery from the speed control.
Recharge rechargeable batteries approx. every 3 months, otherwise there might be a so-
called deep discharge caused by self-discharge which will make the rechargeable batteries
unusable.
• Always replace the entire set of batteries or rechargeable batteries in the transmitter. Do not
mix full with half-full normal/rechargeable batteries. Always use normal/rechargeable batte-
ries of the same type and manufacturer.
• Never mix normal batteries with rechargeable batteries! Use either normal batteries or re
-
chargeable batteries for the transmitter.
Maintenance and Cleaning
• Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work on the vehicle, the latter must be
switched off (speed control) and the drive battery disconnected completely from the speed
control. Let all parts and components (e.g. motor, speed control etc.) cool down completely.
• After use, clean the entire vehicle from dust and dirt. Use e.g. a long-haired, clean brush or a
vacuum cleaner. Compressed-air sprays may also be used for cleaning.
Do not use cleaning sprays or conventional household cleaners. These might damage the
electronic system. Furthermore, such cleaning agents will cause discolouration of the plastic
parts and the car body.
Never wash the vehicle with water, e.g. with a high-pressure cleaner. This will result in dama
-
ge to the motor, speed control and the receiver. The vehicle must not get dump or wet!
• To clean the car body, you can use a soft, slightly moistened cloth. Do not rub too strongly as
this may cause scratch marks.
• You must perform maintenance work and functional tests on the vehicle in specific intervals,
in order to ensure flawless operation and a long driving capability.
• Parts and screw connections may become loose while driving, due to motor vibrations and
shocks.
Therefore, check the tight fit of the wheel nuts and of all bolted connections of the vehicle.
Check the correct fastening of the speed control and the receiver as well as the adhesion of
the tyres on the rims and the condition of the tyres.
Make sure all cables are tightened in such a way that they cannot enter moving parts of the
vehicle.
Furthermore, check the model for damages prior to each use. If you notice any damages, the
vehicle must not be used or put into operation.
• If worn vehicle parts (e.g. tyres) or defective vehicle parts (e.g. a broken traverse control arm)
have to be replaced, only use original spare parts.
Disposal
Dispose of the product at the end of its service life according to the applicable statu-
tory regulations.
