Special features:
The pacifier thermometer is a maximum thermometer, i.e. the highest
temperature is displayed after only 90 seconds. The most recent measured
value is always saved.
Safety instructions:

The thermometer is not suitable for use as a pacifier.
•
The thermometer is suitable exclusively for oral measurement of the
body temperature of babies .
•
The thermometer can not be opened and the battery cannot be
changed for safty reasons.
Operating manual:
Press the I/O button to switch on. A short signal tone shows that the device
is in the „switched on“ condition. A segment test takes place simultaneously
(checks all display segments and carries out an internal function test (see
under „Function test“)).
After this, if the temperature measured by the temperature sensor is less
than 32°C, the display shows an „Lo“ and „°C“. After around one second, the
„°C“ starts to blink. The „Lo“ stands for low (less than 32°C).
The current temperature is continuously displayed during measurement, and
the „°C“ blinks during the entire measurement time. The measurement is
completed after around 90 seconds.
After the measurement is completed, the temperature value measured
remains in the display until the pacifier thermometer is switched off. To turn
the device off after use, press the I/O button briefly. The signal tone will
again be sounded. If the device is not switched off, a signal tone is sounded
after around 9 minutes and the device then switches off automatically.
Disposal note:
The disposal of batteries is regulated. Dispose of the thermometer
as prescribed. i.e., at a collection point for electrical scrap.

Display of last measured value:
If you press the I/0 , the last measured value will be shown in the display.
Function test:
The thermometer is checked for correct functioning automatically every
time it is switched on.
After display of last measured value, the screen shows 37,0 °C if correct
operation.
Important:
The readings displayed by the thermometer may be too low under some
conditions (e.g. if the child is crying or persistently breathing through his
mouth). Therefore, in case of doubt, or if there are signs of fever (reddening
of skin, sweating, agitation, unwillingness to drink), please always perform a
follow-up rectal measurement if the result is more than 38,5°C.
Cleaning and disinfection:
Please only use an alcohol pad. Each pharmacy sells alcohol pads. We recom-
mend the use of Mucocit
®
-F2000 or Helipur
®
Hplus to disinfect the device
during use in medical facilities. Both are effective against all hospital-typical
pathogens and can be purchased from any dispensing chemist.
Battery symbol:
If the battery symbol
displayed, the life time of the thermometer is
over. The battery cannot be changed for safty reasons.
Measurement checks:
Checking the accuracy of the pacifier thermometer is not necessary in most
cases. If you require a measurement check (at your expense), please send
the pacifier thermometer to our customer service address. Please make
sure it is well-packaged and that the correct postage stamps are applied.
Guarantee:
We give a guarantee period of 2 years from the date of purchase. We guarantee
perfect design of this article. We will rectify all material or manufacturing
errors during the guarantee period. If, contrary to expectations, defects are
found, please send the device back to our customer service department.
Please enclose the proof of purchase and a description of the defect so that
the problem can be rectified as soon as possible.
The guarantee excludes damages caused by improper handling, related to the
battery or to the packaging.
