Instruction manual lightweight wheelchair

The “Zebra” lightweight wheelchair is used to trans-
port people in a sitting position, whether in the
household, when shopping, or when travelling.
The wheelchair is equipped with removable
footrests and a holding brake. Additionally, the
lightweight wheelchair features a drum brake
for the wheelchair user’s companion as well as
quick-release axles to enable rapid removal of the
rear wheels. As the wheelchair can be folded, it
can be transported in a car and/or stowed away to
save space.
We hope you enjoy using the REHASHOP “Zebra”
lightweight wheelchair and hope that it will enable
you to gain greater mobility.

Assembling the wheelchair
Ensure that the wheelchair is complete and assem-
ble the wheelchair in the following order:
- Unfold the frame as shown and describe in the
section headed “Unfolding the wheelchair”
- Attach the back and seat cushion to the wheel-
chair. For a description, see “Removable back and
seat cushion.”
- Attach the footrests as shown in the section entit-
led “Attaching and locking the footrests.”
Unfolding the wheelchair
Press down on the seat
frame. The chair will un-
fold itself. Now push the
seat frame into the sup-
ports. This step is easier
of you tilt the chair a little,
thus lifting some weight
off the propulsion wheel.
Check that the seat frame
is properly engaged with
the seat and that the seat is flat.
Folding the wheelchair
First remove the leg
supports and the seat
cushion. Now grip the
centre of the seating
surface from below and
pull up. The chair will
fold up and, if required,
the backrest is also
collapsible.
Folding backrest
It is possible to reduce
collapse the backrest to
reduce the height of the
wheelchair if required.
Push the two black levers
on the back of the chair at
the same time. The folding
mechanism will unlock and
the backrest can be folded
down.
Important:
Ensure that the backrest is fully
unfolded and locked in place before using the
wheelchair.
