CABLING & SWITCH PLACEMENT.
INSTALLING THE SWITCH.
It will be simpler to install the ON - OFF switch if it is disconnected from the loom. All
connections are labelled for easy reassembly.
Remove the two switch screws and cover plate. Hold the switch in place at the rear of the
tender under the water fill hatch. Make sure the single pair of wires and top plate ON point to
the right, looking from the rear of tender, as per the diagram. Replace the switch screws.
The 2 x 2 wire servo leads from the front of the tray are for the speaker & chuff timer.
The small JST male plug is for the loco motor. The JST female socket is for the loco headlight.
Feed the two pairs of wires out the front of the tender coal doors. They will connect with the
matching in line plug and socket coming from the loco.
Then slide the tray in place and locate in position using the supplied strips of 12 mm foam
material pressed down either side of the tray.

The antenna is either poked up in front of the coal
so that the last 31 mm is exposed to view above the
coal or fed down below the tender with the last
31 mm facing down. Paint it black to hide it.
