The
C38
battery R/C installation tray will have the Rx pre-bound
(paired) to the Tx handpiece.
Binding will be required if the Rx is to be bound to a different Tx.
OR
If the Rx
WAS
switched on and the Tx
NOT
switched on at all, = the
Rx going into fast flash bind mode.
HOW TO “BIND” USING AN RCS
Auto Bind receiver.

1)
Remove coal load from the tender.
2)
Switch the Locomotive OFF.
3)
Switch the Tx OFF by pressing the button so LED is OFF.
4) Switch the Locomotive ON to provide power to the Rx unit. The Rx
will give a brief flash. Then, after 8 seconds, Rx LED flashes quickly.
5)
Ensure distance separation of 1 - 2 metres from receiver.
6)
Press & hold Bind button & turn the Tx ON. Rx LED's will go out.
Release Tx buttons. Tx will flash slowly.
7)
Then, after 10 seconds, the Rx will come back on for two flashes.
Then go solid
ON
after another 5 seconds.
8)
Solid LED light means binding is completed.
9)
Turn Rx OFF then Back ON again.
10)
if you are proposing to calibrate the OMEGA-10 ESC do so when
the ESC LED is flashing for 2.5 seconds. Otherwise wait 2.5 seconds
and then operate loco normally.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
Turn charger ON at the mains. If not already set to NiMh, press button # 1 repeatedly until NiMh shows.
Ensure tender switch is “OFF”. Insert charger plug into charge socket on tender tray.
Press and hold ENTER button until charger beeps. Confirm settings and charging will commence.

Resetting the soundcard back to factory default settings
..
If you get in a bit of mess and want to start again then you can reset the soundcard by holding
down the 0 (zero) button of the remote control for three seconds. You will then hear five beeps
and all settings will revert to the defaults for the country you have selected. These include the
default sounds, 2/4 cylinders and a trigger controlled chuff.
