CENTERING CH # 1 ON THE Tx HANDPIECE.
Before switching the Tx on we recommend you perform a Tx “Centering” procedure especially if
the Tx battery has recently been replaced.
The following applies to all three EVO series handpieces.
The # EVO-BAT+ battery will eventually go flat if left switched on. The operating program may be disrupted.
The Ch # 1 centering on the # TX-1 system will need to be reset;
1.) Set big knob at the centre pont.
2.) Press the ON – OFF button to turn the # EVO-BASIC+ ON. LED light will come ON.
3.) Within 60 seconds, press and hold the bind button for 20 seconds.
4.) After 20 seconds the # EVO-BASIC+ ON – OFF LED light will go off.
5.) Release Bind button.
6.) LED light will come back ON. Centre reset is complete.
ALWAYS COMPLETE THE ABOVE PROCEDURE WHEN REPLACING THE 9 VOLT BATTERY.
REVERSER & INERTIA CONTROL
The setting of the reverser relay and the inertia period is controlled by a separate reverser channel with
a centre zero detent control. Small knob on RCS Tx handpieces using Channel # 3.
T
o correct for errors in transmitted pulse widths, the 1.50 ms
stop
PWM setting value can be user
calibrated.
The
inertia period
quoted is the time to increase from
zero
to
full
motor voltage, and vice versa. It is
adjustable in units of
1 second
, depending on the rotation of the reverser control.
With default settings, the
Reverser Relay
is
de-energised
in
Forward
. If required, this can be changed
by the user to be
de-energised
in
Reverse

DETAILS OF # OMEGA-10 ESC
The C38 battery R/C installation kit is supplied
with the Rx bound (paired) to the
# BASIC+
Tx
handpiece. The
# EVO-BASIC+
handpiece has
been set up for Low OFF ESC control.
Likewise the
# OMEGA-10
ESC has been
calibrated for optimum performance.
There should be no need to re-calibrate the ESC.
However, if after binding the loco to a different Tx,
the ESC LED flickers fast and doesn’t switch ON,
make sure the Tx handpiece centering is set up
for Low OFF control. See below.
Then, If it doesn’t work correctly, the best thing to
do is make an
ESC Factory Reset
. This is done
without turning the Tx handpiece on.
FACTORY RESET.
To perform a factory reset:
1
. With the
# OMEGA-10
de-energised, press and
hold the
SET-UP
push button.
2.
Then power up the unit, with the push button
still pressed.
3
. The
LED
will flash slowly for
10 seconds
, and
then go fully on.
4
. Then release the SET-UP push button. The unit
will reload all factory default calibration values into
non-volatile memory, and then restart normally.
If the
SET-UP
push button is released before the
end of ten seconds, the unit will restart with no
change to the previous settings.
5.
Switch power to loco OFF.
Once reset you will need to re-calibrate the ESC.
