f) Play/Pause
• Push the PLAY/PAUSE (12) button to start playback.
• The time on the display starts counting. The starting position for playback is automatically saved as a
CUE mark.
You can stop playback in two ways:
• Push the button PLAY/PAUSE (12). The device pauses and remains at the last position.
• During playback, push the CUE button (13). The device returns to the CUE mark and pauses.
g) Track Selection
Use the dial TRACK/FOLDER (10) and the button FOLDER (11) to select the tracks/folders on the playback
source.
• Turn the dial TRACK/FOLDER (10) to the left or right until the desired track or folder appears in the display.
• Select the desired operating mode (track or folder function) with the FOLDER button (11). The FOLDER-
LED lights up when the folder function has been chosen (MP3 playback only).
• Push the dial TRACK/FOLDER (10) to confirm the selection.
The selected track is played in the mode the player was in before this rotary button was used.
Whenever a track is selected, the device automatically sets the CUE mark at the beginning of that track.
h) Search
Use the buttons SEARCH (25) to start a quick search.
• Push the button SEARCH (25) to search backwards or forwards.
Searching with the buttons SEARCH (25) is possible in play and pause mode alike.
During the search, playback is muted. Use the time shown in the display for searching.
The JOG wheel (14) serves to exactly locate a certain point in a track. In pause mode, it is very easy to set
the start of the beat precisely with the rotary wheel, since the track is scanned in very small steps (frame)
and the search steps can be heard when turning the JOG wheel (14).
• Turn the jog wheel (14) counter-clockwise in pause mode to search backwards or clockwise to search
forwards. An output signal sounds.
• In playback mode, the playback speed is altered with the JOG wheel (14). The playback speed change
depends on the rotating speed of the wheel.
