b) DMX Operation
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called DMX starting address to be clearly identified by the
controller. This DMX starting address specifies the first DMX channel to which the effect light responds. The
remaining control channels come after this first DMX channel (DMX starting address).
The effect light requires 7 free DMX channels.
• Push the button MENU (5), until "d" shows in the display (4), followed by a number. The number is the DMX start
address.
• Select the desired starting address 001-512 with the UP (6) and DOWN (7) buttons.
• If you operate several effect lights in a DMX chain, you can also set the DMX start address as follows.
This ensures that every effect light is assigned its 7 DMX channels and that the DMX channel groups follow
in sequence.
Push the button MENU (5), until "IP" shows in the display (4), followed by a number. The digit is the number of the
effect light in the DMX chain.
"IP.01" assigns the 1st effect light DMX channels 1-7
“IP.02" assigns the 2nd effect light DMX channels 8-14 and so on.
Up to 73 effect lights can be encoded this way.
The following table provides information about the effects of the settings on the individual DMX channels.
