i) Recording or Copying Functions
Recording of radio, cassette recorder, turntable or external audio source
• Activate the desired operating mode (radio operation, cassette operation, turntable operation or playback of an
external audio source).
• Connect a USB memory to the USB interface (12) or insert an SD card in the SD card reader (13).
• Push the REC/DEL (7) button. The storage medium is read and the recording starts automatically after a few
seconds.
• If both a USB storage medium and an SD card is inserted, select the desired recording medium with the
(16) or
(17) buttons and push the REC/DEL (7) button again. The recording starts after a few seconds.
• During the recording, REC flashes in the display (10).
• To stop the recording, push the / BAND (15) button.
• The previously chosen operating mode (radio operation, cassette operation, turntable operation or playback from
external audio source) is continued.
The recording is made in real time and produces MP3 files at a bit rate of 128 kbit/s.
The storage medium must not be removed during the recording.
The reception frequency cannot be changed during recording from the radio.
There may be brief delays between the individual operating steps, since the storage medium must be read
in first. This reading time depends on the size and the reaction speed of the storage medium.
Generation of tracks when recording analogue audio sources
When recording analogue audio sources, only one track without breaking down into individual tracks (songs) is usu-
ally produced. It is not possible to recognise individual songs. If you want such a division anyway, you need to make
it manually.
• Push the button REC/DEL (7) where you want to start a new track.
• The recording is briefly interrupted and will start up again automatically.
The recording is briefly interrupted in generation of the new tracks. When songs follow in quick sequence,
it is possible that the start of the new song is not recordedg completely.
j) Deletion Function
• Keep the REC/DEL (7) button pushed for 3 - 5 seconds during playback of the track to be deleted.
• The display (10) shows “DEL” and deletion starts.
• When “DEL” goes out in the display (10), deletion is complete.
