(7) Button ST/MONO
This button switches between stereo and mono reception.
(8) APS button
This button starts automatic station storage.
(9) Button PTY
This button starts PTY search (search by programme type).
(10) Button DISP
This button displays the different kinds of information in the display.
a) First Activation
• Turn on the tuner with the POWER button (1).
• Switch on the amplifier and select the tuner input.
• Select the desired reception range (AM or FM) with the button BAND (6).
b) Station Search
• Push the buttons TUNING UP/DOWN (3) to change the reception frequency. There are two types of
station search.
• The manual search changes the reception frequency while one of the buttons TUNING (3) is kept pu-
shed. The display (2) does not show the script AUTO. Release the button once the desired frequency has
been reached.
• To start the automatic station search, push the button AUTO (5), so that the display (2) shows the display
AUTO.
• Push one of the buttons TUNING (3) briefly to start a search run.
• The search run starts and stops again at the next station that can be received well.
• If the reception situation is bad, the automatic station search may not stop. In this case, try setting the
station using the manual search (see above).
If reception is too bad, push the button ST/MONO (7) to switch reception to mono mode (the
display (2) shows MONO). In this operating mode, reception is subject to fewer interferences.
