2 : GENERAL SAFETY RULES
2.1 Important warnings
DANGER:
Filters saturated with fat or oil can cause fires.
DANGER:
There is a risk of fire if cleaning is not carried out in compliance with the
instructions
CAUTION:
Before making any connections make sure the mains voltage corresponds
with the voltage shown on the label affixed to the inside of the appliance.
CAUTION:
The extracted air
must not
be conveyed in a flue used to discharge fumes
from appliances fired by gas or other fuels (not applicable to appliances that only
discharge air into the room).
CAUTION:
Connect the extracted air outlet from the hood to an expulsion duct of
adequate inside diameter (no less than 120 mm).
CAUTION:
Always provide adequate ventilation of the room when the hood and gas
powered appliances are used simultaneously.
CAUTION:
If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, by one
of the manufacturer’s service centres, or by a person having similar qualifications, in order
to eliminate any possible risks.
CAUTION:
Keep children away from the appliance. Children must be supervised to
ensure they do not use the appliance improperly.
CAUTION:
Use of the appliance by persons with physical, sensory, or psychological
difficulties is permitted only under the supervision of carers.
CAUTION:
To clean the interior of the appliance make sure it is first disconnected from
the mains supply.
CAUTION:
Flambé cooking under cooker hoods is not permitted under any circumstances.
CAUTION:
If the appliance develops a fault, inform customer service. Do not attempt to
repair the appliance on your own initiative.
