TABLE D
Packing into Valise
10.
Open valise and lay flat.
11.
Place folded raft into valise with inflation valve oriented closest to the hole in the side of the
valise. (See Fig. 6G &7J)
12.
Begin with the loop on the inflation lanyard marked “to cylinder neck”. Secure the loop to the
neck of the cylinder by wrapping the inflation lanyard around the cylinder neck and pulling the
inflation lanyard back through the loop. Tighten. (See Figs. 6H, 7K, 8, and 9)
13.
CAREFULLY secure the second loop, marked “to cable loop”, around the inflation valve pull cable
loop. After inserting the inflation lanyard loop though the inflation valve pull cable loop, pass the
inflation lanyard sachet back through the loop. Tighten, but be sure not to tug on the pull cable
loop as it could result in the activation of the inflation system. (See Figs. 8 & 10)
14.
Lay painterline sachet lengthwise on top of raft with the extra length of exposed inflation lanyard
neatly folded to the side. (See Fig. 6H and 7K)
15.
Attach painterline sachet to valise using a 8” length of black nylon 1/16in. cord (IPL Fig. 1, Item
140). Run the cord through the two holes in both the valise and the sachet and secure with three
(3) bowline knots. Trim off any remaining cord.
16.
For the Aero Compact 2 only, run the handle end marked “painterline” over top of the valise.
Secure handle end to side of valise.
17.
For the Aero Compact 4, remove the red flap from the valise to expose the hole. Run inflation
lanyard end with loop marked “ painterline” through hole in the valise and the handle on the
painterline patch. Pass painterline patch back though the loop and tighten to secure to handle.
(See Fig. 11, and Detail A). Tuck the inflation valve back into the valise and close to the Velcro
patch.
18.
Shut the valise by mating all velcro strips together.
19.
Fill out the raft information on the Aero Compact Inflation Instruction with a waterproof marker.
