Careful attention is to be given when rolling down seams and patches, particularly on
curved edges. Puckers and channels must be avoided, and all seams MUST be rolled twice.
Caution:
Solvents must not be used for removing surplus adhesive from repair
areas.
Note:
This is a chemically curing system. After coating, the dry film will become
more difficult to reactivate with time. Production procedures should be
geared so that coated surfaces are mated as quickly as possible.
Caution:
Do not use rollers over 2” wide.
Apply maximum available pressure
Use in a well ventilated room
Keep ambient moisture as low as possible

REPAIRING TORN AREAS
Patches
Repair patches must extend at least 1in. (25mm) beyond the perimeter of the damage, e.g. if the
diameter of a jagged hole is 1in. (25mm), the patch must be at least 3in. (75mm) in diameter. If
a straight tear is 1in. (25mm) long, the patch must be at least 3in. (75mm) x 2in. (50mm).
‘L’ shaped tears are to be treated as holes, reckoning the dimensions, taken between the ends of
the tear, and the ‘diameter’. (See Fig. 1)
Applying Patches
A cut or hole which lies near a seam must be a minimum of 1in. from the edge of the seam in
order to be repaired. (See Fig. 2) Do not attempt to repair a hole or cut that crosses a
seam.

Cut the patch to size

Prepare and clean the area as described above.
C.
When the final solution coat develops an aggressive tack, place the patch in position and
roll it down into firm contact with a hand roller (Part No. 80-338-003).
D.
After a repair to an inflatable chamber has been allowed sufficient time to cure, carry out a
pressure holding test.
