COASTAL CRUISER
OFFSHORE OCEAN
SERVICE MANUAL
In case of leaking, first check the correct value of the valve torque and, if necessary, tighten the valve with a
dynamometric key calibrated at 25 Nm. If leaking is not due to bad tightening of the valve, disassemble the
valve and check that the material does not show any wrinkling and/or that the plug holder is not damaged.
Should this be the case, stretch the fabric well and/or replace the holder, then tighten the valve body properly.
3.3.3.2.2 Tightness of stopper
Check tightness by pouring soaped water inside the central hole of the valve and checking for any leaking.
Small leaking of the membrane is acceptable, as tightness should be guaranteed by the plug gasket. Should
leaking be excessive, replace the stopper or, if necessary, replace the whole valve. In this case, follow the
procedure described in the paragraph on repairs.
