Quick Start Guide - part A
for the set-up of the Revox M51 and M100 Multiuser modules
This quick start guide covers the set-up and operation of the Multiuser modules for the Revox M51 and Revox M100 Hi-Fi
systems. The Multiuser modules now make it possible to integrate these Hi-Fi systems as a power amplifier into the Revox
Multiuser system. They are registered in the system like a V219 amplifier and can also be accessed with the various remote
controls as well as with the Multiuser app.
M51 Multiuser Module
1.
In one M51 there can
either
be the Multiuser module (VOX+1)
or
a Multiroom module (MTR)
installed. Both modules must not be installed at the same time. A look into the version list of the
setup menu provides clarity.
2.
The Multiuser module is located in slot 5. Using other slots may result in errors.
3.
The 5.1 decoder module of the generation 2 and 3 is supported within the Multiuser system. The
software version has to be
2.01
or higher. These versions are available with Release no.
2.6.1.B0
in the new M51-Programmer Tool as well as in the M-Scope software.
4.
All the Multiuser and 5.1 Decoder modules that were delivered before February 2017 must first
receive an update with the M51-Programmer Tool so that they can be updated with the M-Scope
Bootloader tool in the installed state afterwards.
5.
After a successful update, the following or higher software versions should be displayed:
Note: The Revox M202 Ethernet interface is not required for the operation of the Multiuser system
M100 Multiuser sub-module
1.
In one M100 there can
either
be the Multiuser sub-module (VOX+1)
or
a Multiroom module (MTR) installed. Both
modules must not be installed at the same time. A look into the version list of the setup menu provides clarity.
2.
The Multiuser sub-module is located in the inner part of the M100. The installation may only be carried out by a
specialist, since the device must be opened and safety and ESD guidelines must be observed.
3.
In order for the M100 to function correctly in conjunction with the Multiuser submodule, a check of the software
versions should be carried out via the M-Scope bootloader and, if necessary, an update should be carried out. For the
Mutltiuser submodule there is a new M51-Programmer as well as an M-Scope with the Release no. 2.6.1 B0 available.
4.
After a successful update, the following or higher software versions should be displayed:
