System messages
What are system messages
System messages are information indicating the status of the machine. Some messages
require active intervention by the operating staff, such as the prompts to refill or empty
containers.
Handling system messages
If the coffee machine display indicates that the machine is heating up, wait a short while
until the corresponding element has reached its necessary operating temperature.
In the case of all other messages, follow the instructions given further.
General system messages
Cold please wait
When the machine is switched-on, this message will be displayed until the operating
temperature is reached.
Please rinse machine
If the coffee boiler is ready and the service technician has activated the cold start rin-
sing, this message will appear. Pressing the CLEANING key will start the rinsing pro-
cess.
Tea boiler not ready
This message vill appear when the tea button has been pressed, before the boiler has
reached its temperature. This depends on the basic settings.
Grounds drawer full
The coffee grounds are supervised. Once the level set by the technician is reached, the
message COFFEE GROUNDS DRAWER FULL will appear. Open the door on the left
side of the machine, empty and clean the coffee grounds drawer.
Insert coffee grounds drawer
The message wil appear when the coffee grounds drawer has been removed and dis-
appear automatically once the coffee grounds drawer has been reinserted.
Beans Grinder X
The coffee machine indicates when any bean hopper is empty. Coffee products are not
blocked in this case. The message will disappear as soon as the coffee bean container
has been refilled.
Service required
If a service is required the machine indicates this. Please contact Customer Service.
This message will not disappear until the service has been carried out by Customer
Service.
Please change filter
The status (filter capacity) of the Brita filter is supervised. It will be indicated when the
filter capacity is exhausted. Contact Customer Service immediately. This message will
not disappear until the filter has been exchanged by Customer Service.
