17.3 Restricted substances - REACH, RoHS, WEEE
As it stands, our AB products power units, control blocks, AB assemblies and AB
accessories are free from restricted substances and therefore comply with all EU
requirements of the above directives. As far as restricted substances are still used
in exceptional cases above the permissible concentrations, we endeavor to replace
these substances or we indicate their use to our customers (REACH information
on the use of lead alloys >0.1 % on our homepage). Our products do not formally
fall under the relevant directives on restricted substances (REACH, RoHS, WEEE),
since they are partly completed machines, assemblies or components intended to
be incorporated by skilled personnel into machines. Our AB products do not offer
independent functions for the end user. On the basis of the directives mentioned
before, they are not CE-marked. As far as required in individual cases, we issue
declarations of conformity or supplier’s declarations for our products/product
families on an order-related basis or make available a link for downloading these
documents. We regularly check our products for the use of hazardous substances
(SVHC), we purchase our parts and components exclusively from qualified suppliers
and, by complying with Bosch standard N2580, we ensure that no health and
environmental hazards arise from our AB products.
