Project Planning of Mains Connection
7.1
General Information
To supply the drive system with power, it is connected to the local supply
mains via the mains connection. For the project planning of the mains con‐
nection, observe the requirements of the supply mains and of the devices
used.
The essential requirements are:
●
Mains voltage U
LN
(depending on mains type) with mains frequency f
LN
,
number of phases and rotary field
●
Mains connected load S
LN
, mains short-circuit power S
k_min
and system
impedance
●
Short-circuit current I
SCCR
, particularly when used in the scope of C-UL
●
Mains circuit breakers and mains contactor
●
Protection systems that can be used, such as residual-current-operated
circuit-breakers and insulation monitoring devices

Mains Voltage Supply
Permanent mains connection
A permanent connection to the supply mains is required for
Rexroth IndraDrive controllers.
Make sure that all components participating in the mains connec‐
tion are operated in their allowed voltage ranges.
