If the Ethernet cable is unplugged or if the Wireless LAN settings are wrong, it shows Hardware
error:
If the destination does not exist or cannot be reached because of incorrect IP settings, it would
show Request timed out.
Ping tests are very useful. If the ping is not successful, you may have:
a.
Changed the LAN IP of the Router.
b.
Turned off the DHCP Server in the Router.
c.
Configured a wrong Static Address for your PC.
You would have to:
a.
Check the Ethernet cable and/or check the Wireless LAN settings
b.
Perform a Factory Reset to the Router if necessary
c.
Ensure that your PC is set to DHCP client (automatic).
If you are not even able to ping the Router, there is no way you can access its
Configuration Page.
