The Mother Transmitter

The Safe Place

®

Mother Transmitter is lightweight and compact. It has a 1 year life

expectancy

.

Introduction

The CA9450 System monitors doors, elevators, hallways, and stairwells, preventing

the unauthorized exit of patients from a facility. A small Transmitter is placed on the ankle
or the wrist of a patient. If a transmitter is detected in an Exit Alarm Zone, for example if a
child is being abducted, an alarm sounds at the exit as well as at a Central Server and its
network of Clients. The Central Server and Clients also identify which patient sounded the
alarm and the exit where the alarm occurred. The system can automatically lock doors,
deactivate elevators, and activate remote cameras. The CA9450 System provides further
security by alerting staff if a transmitter band is tampered with, or if any wire in the system
is cut or damaged.

In addition, a small Transmitter is placed on the arm of a new mother. If when the

baby is in contact with the mother, the Transmitter flashes Green LED to indicate that the
baby is the correct baby for that mother. If there is a mismatch, meaning, the infant and
mother transmitters do not match; the Mother Transmitter flashes the Red LED three times
and sounds a beep three times.

The Central Server and Clients also identify which child sounded the alarm and the

exit where the alarm occurred. The Safe Place

®

System provides further security by alerting

staff if an Infant Transmitter’s special, alarming band is tampered with or cut.
