3.1- General safety warnings
•
Understand the product. Read and follow the instructions in this manual.
•
Do not disassemble or modify the product.
•
Do not use this product if it is not completely assembled or if any parts appear to be missing
or damaged.
•
Use and store in indoor dry environment.
•
Maintain good housekeeping and sufficient lighting in the working area.
•
Use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
•
Perform service maintenance by qualified personnel only.
3.2- Additional safety rules for electric tool
•
When the tool is not in use or before performing cleaning, turn it off.
•
Keep grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
•
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use near water or any liquid.
•
Do not use with wet hands.
•
Do not expose the tool to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the tool will increase the
risk of electric shock.
•
Do not operate the tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust.
•
Maintain labels and rating plate through the life of service.
•
Do not use the tool if the switch does not work properly.
•
Do not use the tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.
3.3- Special warnings when using this product
•
Use this meter only as specified in this manual.
•
Avoid working alone.
•
Do not use this meter if it is damaged. Inspect the tool and accessories for cracks, damaged
insulation or exposed metals.
•
Replace the battery as soon as the battery low warning “
” appears.
•
When using the test leads, keep your fingers behind the finger guard.
•
Remove the test leads from the meter before opening the meter housing.
•
Do not apply more than rated voltage, as marked on the meter.
•
Use caution when working with voltage above 30V RMS in AC or 60V in DC.
•
Before measuring current, check the meter’s fuse.
•
When measuring current, turn off circuit power before connecting the meter in the circuit.
Remember to place the meter in series with the circuit.
•
Disconnect circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors before testing resistance,
continuity, diodes or capacitance.
•
When making electrical connections, connect the common test lead before connecting the
live test lead; when disconnecting, disconnect the live test lead before disconnecting the
common test lead.
•
Do not switch between functions or range during measurement.
•
Use only replacement fuses that specified in this manual.
•
Use the proper terminals, function, and range for measurement.
•
Use only a single 9V (6F22) battery, properly installed in the meter housing, to power the
meter.
•
Always use specified spare parts.
•
Set the power switch to “OFF” position when it is not in use. Remove the battery from the
meter if not being used for long time.
