Diode measurement
•
Connect the black test lead to the “COM” terminal, while the red test lead to the
“VΩmAhFE” terminal.
•
Turn the function switch (3) to diode “
” position.
•
Connect the red test lead to the anode of the diode (to be tested), while the black test lead to
the cathode.
•
The foreward voltage drop (in mV) will be displayed.
•
If the diode is reversed, “1” will be displayed.
Transistor measurement (hFE)
•
Turn the function switch (3) to “hFE” position.
•
Insert the multi-function adaptor into the “COM” and “VΩmAhFE” terminals. Make sure
the negative pin “ ” is connected to “COM” terminal and the positive pin “ ” is
connected to “VΩmAhFE” terminal.
•
Identify whether the transistor is NPN or PNP type and locate emitter (E), base (B) and
collector (C) leads. Insert the leads of the transistor to be tested into the proper holes on the
adapter.
•
The hFE value will be displayed, based on the conditions: base current of 10µA and V
CE
of
2,8V.
Audible continuity test
•
Connect the black test lead to the “COM” terminal, while the red test lead to the
“VΩmAhFE” terminal.
•
Turn the function switch (3) to buzzer “
” position.
•
Connect test leads to two points of circuit to be tested. A continuous beeping indicates the
resistance between the 2 points is lower then 30Ω ± 20Ω.
•
Overload protection:
-
15 seconds
-
220V RMS
VI. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
WARNING!
Before any intervention on product, ensure that power is set to the “OFF” position
and remove the test leads.
Reminder: In order to maintain the machine in good working condition, carry out regular
maintenance of the machine after each use and before storage. Any breach or inadequate
maintenance reduces the life of the machine and increases the risk of breakdowns and accidents.
6.1- Cleaning
•
Before cleaning, turn off the tool and remove the test leads.
•
Clean the machine with a dry clean cloth. Do not use water or detergent for cleaning.
