is a protocol that uses “certificates” to authenticate the client and server and uses a public/private key
“pair” to encrypt and decrypt communications. All of the major browsers are SSL enabled.
Standalone
– Standalone refers to a single GlobalScan Server, while primary and secondary reflect
failover where two GlobalScan Servers are synchronized, allowing a secondary server to
automatically take over should the primary server go down, maximizing uptime.
VAS
– Special firmware required within any MFD running GlobalScan.

The sole data exchange format for all data transferred between the multifunctional device and
the GlobalScan Server.
