Enter/Edit GlobalScan V1.5 Settings

Pre-Render
R
Fax Document
– Select this check box if running the optional RightFax Plug-in
and wish all MFD users to have access to fax functions.
Render

ActivePDF
– Select ActivePDF or OCR from drop-down. ActivePDF is standard.
OCR will only appear if the optional OCR Plug-in is installed.
Post-Render
R
Scan To Folder
– Select this check box to enable users to scan a document to a
local or network folder. Scan To Folder is a standard feature of GlobalScan. Scan
To Folder will only appear if NT, Novell or LDAP is selected as the authentication
method, and no optional third-party DMS is installed.
Note
: An Application Developer can write their own Pre-Render, Render or Post-Render Service based on
the GlobalScan SDK Toolkit, in order to fulfill specific business application needs. For example, a third-party
can write another OCR application, the name of which would appear under the “Render” heading.

Once all settings are selected, click
Update
.
Important
: If the GlobalScan V1.5 Settings screen has been modified, you must reboot the
MFDs running V1.5 firmware in order for the machines to recognize the new settings.
