A
COUSTIC SIGNAL
(B
UZZER
)
UPS status and faults are signalled via a buzzer which emits a modulated sound depending on different UPS operating
conditions.
The different types of sounds are described below:
Sound A: This signal is emitted when the UPS is switched on or off using the appropriate buttons. A single beep confirms ON,
battery test activation, the cancellation of programmed shutdown.
Sound B: This signal is emitted when the UPS switches to bypass to compensate for current surges due to the insertion of a
distorted current.
Sound C: This signal is emitted when the UPS switches to battery operation before No Battery is signalled (sound D). It is
possible to silence signals (see "Graphic display" paragraph).
Sound D: This signal is emitted when battery operation reaches No Battery alarm threshold. It is possible to silence signals
(see "Graphic display" paragraph).
Sound E:
This signal is emitted when an alarm or lock is detected.
Sound F:
This signal is emitted when a battery overvoltage fault is detected.
Sound G: This type of signal is emitted when the battery test fails. The buzzer beeps ten times. This alarm signal is emitted
while the "replace batteries" LED is on.
