ATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR
MPW Power and Combo cabinets have the ability to monitor the temperature within a separate battery room via the terminals
located on the ASB card identified as “TEMP”.
This ISOLATED input can also be used to measure the temperature inside a remote Battery Box and adjust the
battery voltage in accordance with the ambient temperature.
It is essential that only the kit provided by the manufacturer is used. The use of a temperature sensor that does not
comply with the specifications may cause faults or breakdowns of the equipment.
Only authorised personnel can install and activate the temperature sensor.

ANEL OVERVIEW
The Connectivity panel includes all the user interfaces primarily via the main MCU (Monitoring Control Unit).
It includes a 7-inch graphic display (refer to the description paragraph) and communication ports for user and service personnel
to monitor the UPS locally or remotely.
The MCU is provided with (right hand side) specific ports and provisions dedicated to service monitoring and control. On the left
side, there are three main user communication options:
An embedded Ethernet 10/100 port (RJ45 connector)
Two independent communication slots to fit several communication cards including Netman 204 and Multicom 302. The two
slots are fully independent; this means that two separate communications bus can be created.
The figure shows the MPW
communication slots fully populated
with a Multicom 302 and a Netman

This propriety software enables the user to monitor the entire UPS System including all status and measurements.
It also enables the user to organize and priorities server shut down.
For further information, refer to the dedicated PowerShield3 user manual.
Note:
The term “System” refers to the overall installation, which might include from one to four complete cabinets.
