With the above calibrations, the travel desired for the combustion head has been set.
In the previous example (4 notches) travel start and end should coincide with the values we wanted- 2.5 and 6.5.
To obtain this, turn the hexagonal sleeve (3) to either side after loosening the nuts (4, fig. 11).
With the servomotor at 0°, the notch 2.5 should coincide with the reference plane (10, fig. 11), whereas with the servomotor at
130°, the notch 6.5 should do.
After this adjustment, tighten well the nuts (4, fig. 11) with the ball joint (9, fig. 11) fitted as shown in the figure.
The head should be calibrated with the burner closed, not operating and with servomotor unlocked.
After the adjustment, manually move the cam (7, fig. 11) to check that there is no jamming between 0° and 130°.
5.2.5 AIR DAMPER ADJUSTMENT
Adjust the air damper by operating the variable
profile cam (1). This operation should be car-
ried out after adjusting the pressure regulator
and the combustion head. With the burner off,
cut off voltage to the servomotor and discon-
nect it by pressing the reset button (5, fig. 8).
Maximum output power adjustment
Set the servomotor to 130°, lock it and vary the
p r o f i l e ( 4 ) b y g r a d u a l l y o p e r a t i n g t h e
screws (2).
Minimum output power adjustment
Reset the servomotor again, set it manually to
20°, lock it and adjust the profile (4) by gradu-
ally operating the screws (2).
Intermediate output power adjustment
Carried out in a similar way.
Once adjustment is finished, check again all calibrations, restore the ser-
vomotor connections and lock the adjustment screws (2) with the cross
screws (3).
Modifying the air damper tie rod length
It is necessary to lengthen the tie rod when the air damper moves within a
reduced angle (air damper about halfway the travel at maximum output
power).
In this way a too curved cam (4) profile is avoided.
With burner off, proceed as follows:
-
Remove the joint (2) from the lever (1) (next fig.).
-
Unscrew the extension (3) from the tie rod (4) a few turns.
-
Reconnect the joint to the lever and lift the profile (4, fig. 12) until the air
damper pointer reaches 0 with servomotor at 0°.
