14 Handling the High-pressure Hose
* Safety Precautions
Use a 70MPa high pressure hose from Riken that bears the brand name "RIKEN."
Use the hose with the specified minimum bend radius (R) or larger.
Install the hose so that the bend radius is always kept at the
specified minimum bend radius (R) or larger even when the hose is
supposed to move.
The hose will expand and contract due to internal pressure, so ensure slack exists when
installing the hose.
If the hose is in contact with the floor or other object, it could suffer from the frictional damage
caused by the expansion, contraction or vibration that occurs when the hose internal
pressure applied. Protect the hose with a support or cushion.
Do not pull the high pressure hose to move the pump.
Do not run over the hose with a cart or other vehicle. Do not also drop any heavy object onto
the hose. Protect the hose from all conceivable dangers.

Warning
Do not grip the hose when pressure is being applied to the hose. Should
the high pressure hose burst while being gripped, high pressure hydraulic oil will suddenly be
dispersed, which could penetrate the hand or other bodily part, causing serious injury.
