There are three separate adapters supplied for providing power to the compressor:
To connect the compressor to the required power lead and adaptors, connect the S-S
connector from the compressor to the S-S connector on the required power lead.
(Fig 1 and Fig 2).
1.
Plug the fused 12v power plug into the 12v socket of any vehicle and
connect this lead to the power lead on the compressor. (Fig 3).
2.
The battery clamps can be used to connect directly to the corresponding
vehicle battery terminals (Red - positive, Black - negative). This lead is then
connected to the power lead on the compressor. It is advised to turn the
vehicles engine off before doing this and switching the engine on during use
of the compressor to avoid draining the batteries power. (Fig 4).
3.
The ring terminal adapter can be permanently attached to the corresponding
battery terminals (Red - positive, Black - negative). This allows the user to
attach and detach to the power lead on the compressor with convenience. If
using this option, it is advised to turn the vehicles engine off before
attaching the ring terminals on to the battery. Once attached ensure that the
ring terminal cable is secured in a convenient position away from any moving
or heat generating components using a cable tie.
A waterproof connector is provided for use between the S-S connectors to prevent
any water or moisture from coming into contact with the live connection when not in
use.
