Response message
When the KS-93 receives a command message normally from the external
equipment, it returns a response message. If there is a problem with a received
command message or information request message, an error message is returned.
Note
If an information request message was received
normally from the external equipment, the KS-93
returns the appropriate information message.
The following response messages are used:
(Positive acknowledgment)
R/ACK
<EOL>
Command message was received normally.
(Error responses)
R/ER1
<EOL>
An error occurred during message transfer.
R/ER2
<EOL>
The message contains an invalid element.
R/ER3
<EOL>
The command cannot be carried out.
The message "R/ER3" can be due to the following reasons:
- Measurement start was attempted while the KS-93 is not in a condition
where measurement can be carried out.
- Measurement stop was attempted although measurement is not being
carried out.
- Light source control was attempted in local mode.
If a command message with more than one command is sent, the KS-93 waits
until the last command is received, and then returns one response message
only. If there is an error anywhere in the command message, the response
message will be an error message. If all commands are normal, the
acknowledgment response message is sent.
Note
The KS-93 accepts the commands listed below as nor-
mal (it does not return an error), but these commands
do not have any effect. V1, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, H0,
H1
