ANNUAL PLANNED MAINTENANCE
INSPECT AND RESPOND TO THE FOLLOWING:
Posts
Anchoring method is secure
Are plumb and square
Damage and loose hardware on Rail Bracket
Stop Post Bumpers for wear and loose hardware.
Paint: Touch up as required
Rails
Cracks and holes
Mounting hardware (on bottom of rails) is tight.
Operation
Open/Close the gate. Adjust the force as required.
Squeaking or grinding noises.
If the gate doesn’t operate smoothly or makes noise:
•
Separate the bracket with rails from the pivot post (see page 1)
•
Inspect the compression spring for cracks or damage
•
Grease the 1” shaft where it slides through the upper cam and lower guide
•
Grease the roller and the top of the upper cam
•
Grease the 1” shaft and needle bearing located between the compression spring and the lower plate
