10.7 Control Setting for Hydronic System Design (USER Level Access)
There are some basic settings which must be made before commissioning this boiler. These setting will allow the
boiler to function within different types of hydronic systems. Section 4 provides illustrations and details the application
of the Single Boiler Primary only, Multi Boiler Primary only with Isolation Valve and Primary/Secondary hydronics
systems.
The configuration of your system is made using the
PIPING
parameter in the
SETUP MENU
.

Description
PIPING
P/S, PAR, VALV
The default setting will be P/S (Primary/Secondary). PAR
stands for Single Boiler Primary only. VALV will activate the
primary isolation valve output for a Multi Boiler Primary only
system.
When the Primary/Secondary or Multi Boiler Primary Only system is chosen, the system sensor will be activated.
This sensor must be installed by the installer, in the well provided. See the piping illustration in Section 4 for
location.
Control of an Isolation Valves for Multi Boiler Primary only systems or Primary Pumps for Primary/Secondary systems
can be selected in
Section 10.17 PIM DIP Switch Selectable Options and 13.4 Connecting Isolation Valves.
It is
recommended that Isolation valves should be configured for normally open, power close operation.
10.8 Selecting the Supply or Return Sensor for Single Boiler Primary Only Control
A four switch Dip panel is located on the back of the EOS HMI.
CAUTION:
Disconnect the power before accessing
the internal control wiring to avoid serious injury.
10.9 Changing the Operating Target (USER Level Access)
The HeatStation BOILER operates to satisfy the appropriate operating temperature target of the EOS control. The
value of the controls’ target is the desired operating target water temperature. The unit ships with a factory set point
of 140°F.
Although the target can be displayed in the VIEW menu, it is necessary to enter the CONTROL SYSTEM MENU in
order to make adjustments to the boiler target set point and other operational parameters.
To Change the Boiler Target
1. From the View Menu, press and hold the
Home
button for 3 seconds.
2. Touch
