3 . The Status LED will be solid green if the SDM-6000 is operating properly or
solid red if there is a system failure.
4 . Install a GX-6000 in the instrument cradle. Orient the GX-6000 so the belt clip
is facing away from the SDM-6000. Set the bottom of the GX-6000 in the
bottom of the instrument cradle and push the top of the GX-6000 toward the
SDM-6000.

5 . If the battery pack is fully charged, the Status LED will be solid orange.
If the battery pack is drained enough for the SDM-6000 to charge it, the Status
LED will blink orange while charging is taking place. The SDM-6000 will take
approximately 3 hours to charge a fully discharged GX-6000.
If you are attempting to charge an alkaline battery pack, the Status LED will be
solid green and no charging will occur.
If the charging process encounters a fail condition, the Status LED will turn
steadily red. A fail condition could indicate that there is something wrong with
the Li-ion battery pack, or that there is something wrong with the charger.
