Beg n by sh ft ng the rear sw fter to largest number nd cated, loosen the
cable from the rear dera lleur cable anchor bolt, and place the cha n on
the smallest Sprocket.
Dera lleur System
Adjust the h gh l m t screw so that the gu de pulley and the smallest
sprocket are l ned up vert cally. Re-t ghten the cable, pull out any slack,
and re-t ghten the anchor bolt securely. Sh ft ng through the gears,
mak ng sure that each gear s ach eved qu etly and w thout hes tat on. If
necessary, use the barrel adjuster to fine tune the cable tens on by
turn ng t the d rect on you want the cha n to go. For example, turn ng
clockw se w ll loose the cable tens on and move the cha n away from
the wheel, wh le turn ng counter-clockw se w ll t ghten cable tens on
and d rect the cha n to the wheel.
The dera lleur system ncludes the front and rear dera lleur, the sh ft
levers, and the dera lleur control cables, all of wh ch must funct on
properly for smooth gear sh ft ng to occur.

factory, you w ll need to nspect and adjust both before r d ng the E-B ke.
