B: SaddleT lt Adjustment
Most people prefer a hor zontal saddle; but some r ders prefer to have the saddle nose
t lted sl ghtly up or down. You can adjust saddle t lt by loosen ng the saddle qu ck release,
t lt ng the saddle to the des red pos t on, and ret ghten ng the saddle qu ck release. T ght
enough so that you cannot move or j ggle the saddle. Very small changes n saddle
pos t on can have a substant al effect upon performance and comfort. Consequently,
whenever you make a change to your saddle pos t on, make only one
d rect onal
change
at a t me, and make the changes n small ncrements unt l you have found the pos t on at
wh ch you are most comfortable.
Correct saddle adjusted pos t on s an mportant factor to get the best performance and
comfort from your E-B ke. If you find the saddle pos t on s not comfortable, there are two
adjustments.
Your leg length determ nes the correct saddle he ght.
A: Up and Down Adjustment
Saddle Pos t on
The saddle s at the correct he ght f you can just reach the “lower” pedal w th one heel
when you are seated on the saddle and the crank arms are parallel to the seat tube. To
check for correct saddle he ght, perform the follow ng:

S t on the saddle, and place one heel on a pedal.
Ÿ
Rotate the crank unt l the pedal w th your heel on t s n the down pos t on and the crank
arm s parallel to the seat tube. Your leg should be completely stra ght and just touch ng
the center of the pedal. If th s s not the case, your saddle he ght needs to be adjusted.
