Properly ma nta n the batter es by keep ng them fully charged when not n use. We do not recommend
that r d ng your electr c b cycle n the water(damp roads, puddles, ra n, streams, etc.) and never mmerse
t n water as the electr cal system may be damaged. Per od cally check the w r ng and connectors to
ensure there s no damage and the connectors have good cont nu ty. For pa nted frames ,dust the surface
and remove any loose d rt w th a dry cloth. Clean and w pe w th a damp cloth soaked n a m ld detergent
m xture. Dry w th a cloth and pol sh w th car or furn ture wax. Use soap and water to clean plast c parts and
robber t res. Chrome plated b kes should be w ped over w th a rust preventat ve flu d. Store your b cycle
under shelter. Avo d leav ng t n the ra n or be ng exposed to corros ve mater als.
R d ng on the beach or n coastal areas exposes you b cycle to salt wh ch s very corros ve. Wash your
b cycle frequently and w pe or spray all unpa nted parts w th an ant -rust treatment. Make sure wheel r ms
are dry so brak ng performance s not affected. After ra n, dry you b cycle and apply ant -rust treatment. If
the hub and bottom bracket bear ngs of your b cycle have been submerged n water, they should be taken
out and re-greased. Th s w ll prevent accelerated bear ng deter orat on. If pa nt has become scratched or
ch pped to the metal, use touch up pa nt to prevent rust. Clear na l pol sh can also be used as a
preventat ve measure. Regularly clean and lubr cate all mov ng parts ,t ghten components and make
adjustments as requ red.
