Fuelling procedure
For a full list of precautions to be taken when refuelling,
refer to:
Inshore Boat Refuelling
SOP
The port and starboard filler caps are located under crew
2 and 3 seats.
Each tank holds 105 litres of fuel. Use the fuel dipstick to
check the fuel level in each tank. Each reference mark on
the dipstick indicate 10 litres until the final mark which
measures 5 litres.
When the required quantity of fuel is known for each
tank, fill the fuel tanks from the jerry using the filler neck.
The filler neck has a filter fitted to help to avoid
fuel contamination.
WARNING
Make sure you are in a well ventilated area.
Do not smoke or use any naked flames.
Make sure the engines are off.
Make sure a fire extinguisher is close by.
Dealing with fuel spillages
Have absorbent pads or a spillage kit on hand
when refuelling.
WARNING
For any significant spillages which cannot be
effectively contained, the area should be cleared
of personnel and the fire service called via 999.
