INSTRUCTIONS FOR 10-152 LOOP PILE CUTTER
A.
INSERTING THE BLADES.
1.
Remove the front thumbscrew.
2.
Insert one slotted blade into each of the two open slots on top of the cutter
3.
Align the blades into each slot so that the setscrew can be replaced through the blades into the nut.
4.
Tighten the thumbscrew by hand to lock the blade in place.
DO NOT use pliers or wrenches to tighten thumbscrew. This will damage
tool beyond repair and invalidate warranty.
B.
ADJUSTING THE THROAT OPENING.
1.
To open the throat of the cutter, loosen the rear knurled screw. Pull the top tabs to open the throat to the desired setting. Tighten
the screw to lock the setting.
2.
To determine the proper throat setting, place the cutter between two rows of carpet pile and allow the spring tension to close the throat
to the proper width.
C.
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING BLADES.
1.
To position the cutting blade, loosen the front thumbscrew and slide the blade down with thumb or finger.
2.
Tighten the front thumbscrew to hold the blade in position. Note: only one blade can be in the cutting position at one time. The corner
of the blade must fit into the notch in the base plate.
3.
The blade used is determined by the side of the carpet to be seamed: the right blade for the right side of the carpet, the left blade for the
left side.
HOW TO CUT SEAMS WITH YOUR CUTTER.
1.
Place the guide bar between two rows of pile where the cut is to be made.
2.
Press the base plate firmly against the floor when cutting the carpet. Be careful not to allow the guide bar to cross a row
of pile loops.
3.
To complete the seam, switch to the other blade and repeat steps one through five on the other side of the cut carpet.
4.
If the pile rows are irregular and a seam cannot be cut between the rows, use this method to cut the seam:
a. Strike a chalk line on the edge of the carpet.
b. Using a straightedge as a guide, cut the carpet with your Loop Pile Cutter.
5.
The 10-152 can be used for trace cutting.
a. Cut the first side of the seam between the rows of pile. Overlap the second piece approximately one inch.
b. Using the cut piece of carpet as a guide, trace cut the second piece of carpet.
6.
Use a Roberts Row Finder to separate the face yarns between the two rows of pile.
7.
Follow the opening between the pile rows with the guide bar on the cutter. A firm downward pressure must be applied when
making this cut.

A.
INSTALLATION - LAME.
1.
Enlever la vis.
2.
Insérer une lame avec fente dans chaque ouverture sur le dessus de la coupe tapis.
3.
Aligner les lames à l’intérieur de chaque ouverture afin que la vis puise passer à travers la fente de chaque lame et
dans l’écrou.
4.
Serrer la vis à main et non à l’aide d’une pince. Vous risqueriez d’endommager l’outil.
B.
AJUSTEMENT DE LA GORGE.
1.
Pour ouvrir la gorge de la coupe tapis, desserer la vis arrière. Tirer sur les languettes afin d’ouvrir la gorge au réglage voulu. Serrer la
vis afin de verrouiller le réglage.
2.
Afin de déterminer le réglage, placer la coupe tapis entre deux rangées de fibre de tapis et allouer la tension du ressort de la gorge de
fermer à l’ouverture voulue.
C.
AJUSTEMENT DES LAMES DE COUPE.
1.
Pour positionner la lame de coupe, desserrer la vis à l’avant et glisser une lame vers le bas.
2.
Serrer la vis afin de maintenir la lame en position. Note: Seulement une lame peut être en extension à la fois. Le coin de chaque lame
doit être placé dans l’encoche de la base de la coupe tapis.
3.
La lame à utilisée est déterminée par le côté du tapis qui fera le joint. La lame de droite pour le côte droit du tapis, et la lame de gauche
pour le côté gauche du tapis.
COMMENT COUPER À L’AIDE DE VOTRE COUPE TAPIS.
1.
Place le guide entre les rangées de fibre, trame, là où le tapis sera couper.
2.
Pendant que vous coupez dans la trame, assurer que la base de l’outil et stable contre le plancher. Soyez vigilant à ne pas allouer le
guide de chevaucher une rangée de fibre ou de boucle.
3.
Afin de compléter le joint, utiliser l’autre lame et répéter le étapes.
4.
Si les rangées sont irrégulières et le tapis ne peut être couper dans la trame, utiliser la méthode suivant:
a. Appliquer une ligne de craie sur le rebord du tapis.
b. À l’aide d’une régle pour tapis comme guide couper le tapis avec votre Coupe Tapis.
5.
Le 10-154 peut être utilisé lorsque vous tracez et coupez.
a. Couper le premier côté du joint dans la trame. Chevaucher le deuxième morceau d’un pouce.
b. En utilisant le morceau coupé comme guide, tracer et couper le deuxième morceau.
6.
Utiliser Roberts Trouve Rangée afin de trouver la trame ou entre les deux rangées de fibres de tapis.
7.
À l’aide du guide sur la Coupe Tapis suivez la trame. Une pression adéquate doit être appliquée sur l’outil lorsque vous coupez de
cette façon.
