Chapter 6 Charging

Shock, injury, electrocution hazard!
Never use the Power Box or charge the Robomow in areas where extreme
dampness or wet contact is likely.
Never use a Power Box when the leads are damaged.
Use only the recommended Power Box for your Robomow.
Important:
It is recommended to place the Power Box in a sheltered, dry
location. The Power Box should be well ventilated and avoid exposure to
direct sunlight or rain.
Do
not
pack the Power Box inside a plastic bag: it will over-heat.
At the end of each mowing session, Robomow will automatically recharge at
the Base Station.
Charging time takes up to 2 hours, depending on conditions.
6.1 Charging During the Season
The Base Station is the primary charging source when Robomow is docking
and will maintain the optimal battery charge while awaiting departure.
6.2 Charging Out of Season
During out of season months, such as winter, it is required to:
1.
Fully charge the mower in one of the two following ways:

In the Base Station.
•
Directly from the Power Box (see below)
2.
Remove the fuse from Robomow and store it in the designated cavity
under the bumper door (see page VIII).
3.
Store the mower at temperature higher then -10
º
C.
Note! The Safety Switch should be in ‘On’ position during charging.
If the mower is stored for more than 3 months, it is required to recharge the
battery every 3 months till the Battery indicator shows it is fully charged.
Power Box charging instructions:

Remove Robomow from its Base Station.

Remove the Base Station Head (Charging Adaptor) by lifting the front
lever up and pushing the Adaptor forward from behind the Base Station.
(See Section 2.6.3).

Unplug the 20 m (65 ft.) Extension Cable and the Perimeter Wire from the
Base Station Head.
P
Place the cap at the end of the 20 m (65 ft.) Extension Cable and on the
exposed connector to protect it from rain and corrosion. Cover also the
Perimeter Wire connector.
Robomow may
be re-charged
