6 MAINTENANCE
Disassembling the pump within the guarantee period results in the cancellation of the guarantee.
This manual contains only the instructions for preventive maintenance.
Warning: For the extraordinary maintenance operations contact ROBUSCHI
Warning: It is forbidden carry out any hot work (welding, cutting, etc…) on KRVS. Eventual hot works
(welding, cutting, etc…) near KRVS must be authorized by the plant safety responsible and must be
carried out following suitable procedures
Stop KRVS and auxiliary system as indicated in the paragraph 5.4.
Warning: Disconnect the electric supply, lock the general switch in open position with the key and
conserve it during service operation
Warning : Wait until KRVS returns at ambient temperature (< 40 °C)
Insulate KRVS from the plant and restore the atmospheric pressure into it.
Warning: The liquid contained in the plant can be hot, flammable, toxic and irritant : Dispose the liquids
contained in KRVS in accordance to the local regulations. Depollute KRVS before operate onto KRVS
Routine maintenance of KRVS carried out according to the diagram shown below, provides the correct operating conditions and allows
the achievement of a long operational life of the unit in a safe condition.

6.1 Cleaning
To remove scale deposits, use a 10% oxalic acid solution letting it act for about 30 minutes.
Warning: Oxalic acid is harmful in contact with the skin or if ingested
6.2 Coupling
The close coupled pumps /M version (sizes 7 16) are directly coupled to the electric motor flange.
For pumps with bearing bracket /SG version (sizes 7, 21) the electric motor is assembled to the bracket with flexible coupling (par. 6.2.1).
The pumps sizes 23,25,30,40,60 are coupled to the motor through elastic coupling common with the electric motor, and it is possible to
drive the pumps directly with flexible coupling (par. 6.2.2).
6.2.1 Direct flexible coupling for /SG version
Clean perfectly the inside of the pump and motor flanges and remove dust and paint residuals.
Align half-couplings to their respective shafts and secure the half couplings with security dowels, which will push on the keys.
Fit the motor to the pump and fix the flange bolts as shown in fig. 12.
