8.5 Transmission check
NOTE: Belt tension is marked on a label on the front of the unit baseframe
Poly-V Belt
Verify the number z of belt grooves
Calcule the force F to apply as per figure :
F = z x T / 14
Where T is the belt tension depending by the section of the belt following the table below
Check that the belt deflection “e” is lower than 1,5 % of the value of the center disctance I
e < 0,015 x I
eventually correct it by the nuts fixing the motor plate
WARNING : Excessive belt tension could damage the compressor and the motor
Check belt alignement by using a scale as indicated in figure
