GPS
GPS settings allow you to enable and configure GPS searching for your device.
The GPS page is divided into sections. You can expand or collapse each section by clicking the solid
black pointer next to each section.
GPS Status
Once a location fix has been made, the GPS Status section of the GPS page gives you the following
information:

GPS Status — The status of the GPS, including, but not limited to,
Searching
and
Acquired
.

Last fix — The date and time of the last GPS fix.
•
Horizontal accuracy — A measure of how close an estimate of a GPS position is to the true
location.
•
Latitude — The measure of the angular distance between a location on earth and that
location north or south of the equator.
•
Longitude — The measure of the angular distance between a location on earth and that
location’s meridian from the Prime (Greenwich) Meridian.
•
Altitude — The distance measurement, usually in the vertical or “up” direction, between a
reference point and a specified point or object.
