No primary power.
Transformer wired for 460 VAC, 240 applied.
Transformer wired for 230 VAC, 480 applied.
Proper voltage applied, continue.
Fuse blown, replace.
Defective lamp, replace.
Foot Switch defective or improperly connected,
locate problem and correct.
Proper voltage - bridge rectifier or rotary solenoid
defective. See resistance measurement section.
Limit Switch not being actuated or Limit Switch defective. Perform
adjustment procedure or replace Limit Switch.
Proper voltage — relay coil open.
Jumper 7-8 missing.
Proper voltage, continue.
Jumper 4-3 missing.
Proper voltage, continue.
Relay contact defective — replace relay.
Proper voltage — machine operating device or wiring defective —
check continuity with an ohmmeter.
VOLTAGE MEASUREMENTS (120 VAC Type Machine Operating Device)
Readings may vary slightly from meter to meter. However, the trend
established between infinity (
•
) and the lower readings must remain
consistent throughout the test. Any unusual reading means the bridge
rectifier is defective and must be replaced.
Rotary Solenoid
- Resistance 109 Ohms.
Clutch Actuating Equipment
- AC Type push or pull solenoids have
DC resistances typically less than 10 Ohms. AC solenoid air valves of
the type usually supplied have approximately 100 Ohms DC resistance.
