When moving the fence, release 

the lever slowly and stop just as you feel the cam 

disengage. This will prevent the fence from kicking to 

the left when you lock in your new setting.

4. Place your stock against the fence and adjust the fence 

  until the stock just touches the bearing guide. Lock 

  down the rip fence.

When making cuts, always use a push 

block or push stick to help keep your hands away 

from the blade.

5. Make the rip cut. Fig. 4.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 as needed to cut matching  

  thin strips.
