Rainy weather conditions cause poorer grip,
braking, and field of vision of all road users.
Therefore, in wet conditions, the braking force of
your braking system significantly decreases, and
the tyres have significantly lower traction than in
dry conditions. In order to maintain control of your
bike in such conditions, it is important to maintain
lower speeds and begin braking earlier and
gradually.
Riding your bike at dawn, in the dark, at night or in
other times with poor visibility without proper
bicycle lights and reflectors is dangerous and could
result in severe bodily harm or death. In such
conditions, cyclists are less noticeable to other
road users, and this requires a higher level of
precaution. In order to ensure optimum safety, the
proper use of bicycle lights (front and rear light),
reflecting parts, and reflecting clothing (e.g.
reflecting strips, clothing, helmets) is required.
Before using your bike, make sure that your
clothing and transported items do not cover the
reflectors and lights.
