If protection is tripped, a red flashing OVP or OPP indicator is displayed on the respec-
tive channel. See

1. Press [Menu] key.
2. Select "Output" > "Protection" menu item.
The R&S NGA100 displays the "Protection" dialog. See
Figure 6-9: Protection dialog
3. Set the OVP mode for the desired channel.
The available options are as follows:
● "Measured": The output is switched off if the measured value exceeds the set
limit. Switching on the channels triggered the OVP if the condition remains.
● "Protected": The output is disabled if the setting exceeds the set limit.
● "Disabled": OVP is set to maximum value supported by hardware. See the R&S
NGA100 brochure for the instrument specification.
4. Set the desired voltage for OVP.
The R&S NGA100 turns off the respective channel when the measured voltage
exceeded the preset value.
5. Set the OPP mode for the desired channel.
