Eine Prüfung mit dem
ROHLOFF HG-Check
informiert
Sie schnell und sicher über den Verschleißzustand Ihrer
Shimano-Hyperglide Ritzel.
Die Prüfung sollte vor längeren Radtouren, ganz
besonders aber vor Straßen- oder MTB-Rennen erfolgen,
damit Sie nicht plötzlich von einer überspringenden Kette
unangenehm überrascht werden.
Wichtig ist diese Information auch vor jedem
Kettenwechsel, da eine neue Kette auf
verschlissenen Ritzeln überspringt und in diesem Fall
auch die Ritzel gewechselt werden müssen.

ohne Wiederstand vollständig in die

Zahnlücke ein, so ist das Zahnprofil noch sicher. Auch bei
einem Kettenwechsel läuft die neue Kette einwandfrei.
Schlägt die Meßrolle
auf dem Zahnkopf auf oder läßt sich

nur mit Druck in die Zahnlücke schwenken, ist das Ritzel
verschlissen und sollte ausgetauscht werden. Springt die
Meßkette
bei Druck auf den Griff
gleich aus der

Verzahnung
ist der Ritzelverschleiß ganz besonders

groß.
Ritzel mit mehr als 21 Zähnen verschleißen selten so, daß der
Kettenlauf Probleme bereitet und eine Prüfung ist daher nicht
unbedingt nötig.Trotzdem kann hier geprüft werden, ob bei
vollständig eingelegter Meßkette
, diese bei Druck auf den

Bleibt die Meßkette
in der Verzahnung, ist das Ritzel in

Ordnung. Springt sie heraus, so ist bei sehr großer Kettenlast
mit Problemen zu rechnen.

quickly and efficiently about the condition of your
Shimano Hyperglide sprockets.
This check up should be done before longer trips and
especially before road and MTB races, avoiding a
surprising chain slip.
It is also important before changing the chain, because a
new chain will slip on worn sprockets. In this case the
sprockets should be replaced, too.
Instructions for use
The enclosed handle

Place the
on each sprocket of the
ROHLOFF HG-Check
HG Shimano cassette block that you want to check.
Sprockets with a tooth count between 12 and 21 should be
measured as follows: place the last link of the measurement
chain
on the sprocket with the test roller

slightly outwards and press it against the measurement chain

. With the other hand press the handle powerfully
(ca. 10 kg /22 1b) in drive direction and swing the test roller
in

the tooth pocket while the measurement chain
is under load

If the test roller
moves freely in the tooth pocket, your HG/IG

sprocket is still working well. Even with a new chain it will run
perfectly.
If the test roller
is clutching on the tip of a tooth or if you

need to use some pressure to put it into the tooth pocket, the
sprocket should be replaced. If the measurement chain
(1)
slides from the sprocket profile while the handle
is under
(6)
pressure
, the amount of wear is excessive.

Sprockets with more than 21 teeth are rarely worn out, so they
should not cause any problems while in use. Therefore, a check
up is normally not necessary. Nevertheless, you can check
whether the measurement chain
slips of the tooth profile

while putting pressure on the grip
.

If it stays in the profile, the sprocket is still okay. If it slips,
problems can be expected under heavy load.

Un exercice de contrôle avec le

vous informe rapidement et sûrement sur l'état d'usure
de vos pignons Hyperglide.
Ce contrôle doit s'effectuer avant de longues courses et
particulièrement avant les courses sur routes et les
courses de VTT si vous ne voulez pas être
désagréablement surpris par une chaîne qui saute
fréquemment.
Cette information est aussi importante avant chaque
changement de chaîne étant donné qu'une nouvelle
chaîne saute lorsque les pignons sont usés.Dans ce cas
les pignons doivent être également changés.

Pour les pignons de 12 à 21 dents, rabattre vers l'extérieur le
dernier lien de la chaîne comportant le galet de mesure
et

.Pousser fortement
(environ 10 kg) la poignée
avec l'autre main en direction de

l'entrainement et faire basculer le galet de mesure
de la

chaîne alors sous pression

Si le galet de mesure
bascule complètement entre les 2

dents, le profil de la dent est alors satisfaisant. Même dans le
cas d'un changement de chaîne, la nouvelle chaîne marche
impeccablement.
Si le galet de mesure
bute sur la tête de la dent ou si elle ne

bascule entre les 2 dents qu'avec de la force, le pignon est
donc usé et doit être changé. Si la chaîne de mesure
saute

tout de suite de la denture du pignon en forcant sur la poignée

, l'usure du pignon est alors particulièrement
importante.
Les pignons avec plus de 21 dents s'usent rarement , la chaîne
marche sans problème et un contrôle n'est donc pas vraiment
nécessaire. Cependant , il est possible de contrôler si la chaîne
de mesure complètement posée sur le pignon saute en poussant
sur la poignée

Si la chaîne de mesure
reste sur la denture, le pignon est

toujours de bonne qualité. Si elle saute, des problèmes
apparaitront lors d'une très grande force exercée sur la chaîne.
