NITIALIZING THE
GT-5
The process of initialization will return the GT-5 to its original factory settings. You
can initialize “all” settings or a specified section of the “Patch Data” in the User area
or Utility settings. Keep in mind, when initializing “all”, it will erase any new patches you may have written in the
USER section. Use the following procedure to initialize:
1)
Turn the POWER ON while holding [MOD] and [FEEDBACKER/SLOW GEAR].
2)
The display should read “SYSTEM - #4-5-5.” Notice the highlighted cursor beneath the word SYSTEM.
3)
Turn the VALUE DIAL to select FX SET (this will initialize the effects settings), then turn it again to PATCH
DATA (this will initialize a patch or series of patches). If you want to change the second set of numbers in the
right of the display, press the PARAMETER RIGHT button and turn the VALUE DIAL. For our purposes,
return the display to “SYSTEM - #4-5-5.”
4)
Press WRITE, and the specified area of data will be initialized. The GT-5 will then be in its normal power-on
state.
